Social Impact
Screening that protects people. A business that supports them. We believe responsible business means investing in your team, your community and the people your work is ultimately there to safeguard.
Doing good work – in every sense.
Employment screening exists to protect people, to ensure individuals placed in positions of trust are who they say they are, and that organisations can make hiring decisions with confidence. At CBS, we take that responsibility seriously and it shapes how we run our business as much as how we run our checks.
We invest in our team, support our community and stay accountable for the impact we have beyond the screen.

A team that stays because they want to.
Our team retention is one of the things we are proudest of. We maintain a very low sickness absence rate, and a high proportion of our team records zero sick days annually – indicators of a workplace where people feel supported, valued and engaged.
We offer a childcare subsidy to support working parents, take wellbeing seriously and have built a culture that treats every team member as a professional with something meaningful to contribute. Our seven core values – Integrity, Smart, Planning, Accountability, Respect, Commitment and Kindness, are the standards we hold ourselves to.

Responsible by design.
CBS is based in Wales and proud of its roots. We believe national reach matters most when it is grounded in local responsibility. We donate to charity each year and actively support causes aligned with our values. Community partnerships include the British Legion, Young Carers and the Ynysybwl Enterprise Programme, through which we support young people in developing confidence and employment skills. We have also received recognition for our approach to responsible, long-term business practice.
- British Legion – Supporting veterans and their families through fundraising and awareness.
- Young Carers – Helping young people with caring responsibilities access support and opportunity.
- Ynysybwl Enterprise – A community programme giving young people practical skills and employment confidence.
- Caru Cymru – Celebrating Welsh business and contributing to the strength of the local economy.
Fair, clear and respectful for candidates.

Bristol City Council
CBS has consistently proven to be knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient in their service to Bristol City Council. The support we receive and the opportunity to seek advice from professionals with their level of expertise is truly invaluable. Cerys and Sarah, in particular, stand out for going above and beyond in their support of our organisation. The entire CBS team deserves recognition for their exceptional work. Their support is greatly appreciated, and we value them not just as a supplier, but as people. As we look forward to continuing our partnership in 2024
